Papercraft Millennium Falcon With Background by Ohnhai Papercraft Millennium Falcon With Background by Ohnhai
This is my A4 sized paper-craft model of the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars.

I'm surprised how well this works TBH :)

Just remember its ALL paper( except the background )

Fantastic work!

I've decided I'm going to build a Falcon replica from scratch, so currently I'm in the process of finding as much reference material as possible on that ship. I'm adding this one to the collection!

Amazing. I assume this is from a kit. If not, that is freaking amazing!

You did an awesome job putting it together. Every time I try to make something with a kit I end up with lots of extra parts. Great job!

to do this I had to cut a realy large number of extra parts... the mandibles alone were about 210 individual bits of paper (including all the layers)

I don't have the patience for that. I'd go crazy with frustration. I admire your dedication.

It wasn't my first model, but it was the second big one. I do want to try making it again, but unfortunately, the YT-1300 base model isn't up on his site... It just looks so much cooler than the MF!

And getting a bend in a saucer hull is why I haven't done a Star Trek model (yet).

The twist in the hull was mainly down to the fact I folded the tabs for the upper and lower before glueing the center hull. Second time I scored the tabs but did t bend them till the hull was fully glued...

I also reinforced the center square and when I glued the side risers I made sure they set and dried under some heavy art books which kept the whole thing flat. Then I glued a square to the central square which solidified it before I glued the top of the central hull down, again to set and dry under the load of a collection of Ghibli art books. After that the central hull was rock solid and utterly flat...

If you need the Template I do have the files..

Even better when you realise that as the image is presented there it's actually BIGGER than the actual model!!
