Papercraft X-Wing (complete) by Ohnhai Papercraft X-Wing (complete) by Ohnhai
my Build of Uhu02's Fabulous X-Wing is now Complete :) this was challenging and fun in so many ways

for size comparison here is the R2 unit from the back of that model (note the square grid it is sitting on. Those are 1cm grids)

sorry but UHU02 has quite strict rules when it comes to his papercraft designs. (too often they end up getting sold by third parties)  while you are free to download and build, he asks that you not pass them on.   In this I have to respect his wishes.

HOWEVER   he does have a password protected closed library that is available. the only trick is (and rule is you have to find it your self (and the log in)

zealot.com/

the above link should be enough to get you on the right path.

again sorry for not being able to help but I want to still have access to his models as he makes them so I play by his rules..

Stephen

PS ta for the kind words as to my build  :)

sorry.  I do have the files but its part of the agreement that you don't distribute them to any one else (UHU02's rules not mine)

he does have a, closed, library,  where you can download all his models, but he asks you do a bit of leg work to discover the way to access it your self. the only clue I'm allowed to give is zealot.com/

I know this is a pain but I do have to abide by his wishes in regard to this.

PS there is more than one clue  in this post.  :)

The funny thing is, topologically speaking, is that it was made from 'flat, paper and still IS nothing but 'flat' paper :)

Excellent job! I have this one sitting in my hard drive, waiting for the right time to build it.

Have you thought about trying imcold's near-perfect paper replica of the X-wing? It's in 1:48 and I'm SO tempted to try it out.

The craftsmanship is astounding. I totally could not tell this was a papercraft at first sight. Props to Uhu02 for designing it and to you for putting the kit together so brilliantly!

The only thing that isn't paper (or glue) is some felt pen to 'edge' the dark bits, some paint (red edging and black inside the hinge) some acetate for the glazing and a small bit of stiff wire inside the front landing strut to reinforce it after it got kinked during manufacture...

Wow, that looks just like a regular styrene model kit. You did a phenomenal job on it.
